Pembrey Gardening Show
Just a quick reminder that the Pembrey Gardening show wll be held on Saturday 21 August at 2pm.
For the newer members I should say that one of the categories in the competition is for photography and we tend to use this as an opportunity to showcase the work of the club by entering and organising this category. The competition (which is print only) is divided into the following sections.
People
Landscape/Seascape
Animals (pets)
Open (anything not falling into the above categories)
Finally there is one category covering any subject where the original image was captured on film (rather than digital)
Entry fees are 40p per photo with prizes of £3, £2 and £1. There is also a trophy for the best image in the whole competition.
Entries must not have been exhibited in a previous gardening show.
As we are also charged with organising this part of the show we will need 2-3 volunteers to help on Friday evening, 20th Aug (approx 5 -8pm) and on the Saturday morning between 8 and 11 am.
