I’ve been a member of the club for 3 Years .

I've been creating images since childhood; however, an image through photography is relatively new and came into play for two reasons.

Firstly my love of travel; there’s a mass of magnificent architecture, art and culture out there which I want to capture in the moment, in my own personal way rather than the usual pool of postcard type images.

Secondly, a deep sensitivity to how many people have a negative view of themselves; their human form. There’s a great satisfaction in creating an image that is a pleasing and uplifting representation, sculpted from the teasing out of trust, confidence and the exploration of expressions combined with the nature of light and shadow.

I find it fascinating and exciting and for the moment I’m concentrating on portraiture ,be it candid or staged. Being digital; I can relax in my experimentation without concern about the costs associated with film!

As secretary of the club I can hopefully make a contribution to say thanks for all the support I’ve had and continue to receive.

Just before Joining the club i bought a Nikon D80 and i have slowly added lenses and Accessories that help in my photography.

Fellow members and studio facilities are a powerful tool in developing my skills; I’m learning something new every single day!
